When you think successful stockbroker, Bobby Towner ’65 may not be the first to come to mind. But in the eighties and early nineties, Towner was a Wall Street tycoon. After retiring, he left his New England brownstone for a pastel trailer. These days, Towner is living as a modest nomad, determined to feed his adventurous spirit.
“Environmental Studies wasn’t as… popular as it is now. I was quite motivated and intrigued by what other countries were starting to do at the time; the wind turbines, solar panels. It seemed futuristic. It was hopeful, and that’s what I was drawn to.”
